2008 Fall Conference

Dear Members:

Please mark your calendars for a very important North Texas Writing Centers Association event. On Thursday, September 18th, NTWCA members are invited to join Texas Christian University’s William L. Adams Center for Writing in celebrating its 20th anniversary. Steve Sherwood and his extraordinary staff were kind enough to extend this invitation to our members. Special guest for the day is Dr. Michele Eodice, president of the International Writing Centers Association and Director of the Conoco Phillips Writing Center at the University of Oklahoma. For this conference, members will have lunch on their own, come to the NTWCA business meeting, and then attend Dr. Eodice’s presentation, “Peer Tutors and the Power to Shape Institutions.” More details about the program will be forthcoming as it is finalized in the next few weeks.

Again, please note the date on your calendar, since this is a departure from the Friday conferences we typically have. Enjoy the rest of your summer and watch for more details about the conference.

Thank you,
Alice Newsome
President, NTWCA
